Addison’s disease, also known as primary adrenal insufficiency or hypoadrenalism, is a rare disorder of the adrenal glands.

This awareness course covers the fundamental information surrounding the condition, it’s causes, symptoms, treatments and probable interventions and also the best practice to prevent an Addison crisis and an escalation plan should prevention fail. This course will be delivered by a variety of teaching methods including; presentations; case studies; small group discussions and whole group discussion.
