This course is aimed towards residential and community healthcare professionals working with service users suffering from any form of spinal injury or dysfunction.

Following this session attendee’s will have a greater understanding of Autonomic Dysreflexia, their severity and potential causes. Delegates will have a greater understanding of the importance of prompt management of Autonomic Dysreflexia and by end of the session have knowledge of medication to support effective management.

  • Understanding the triggers and when Autonomic Dysreflexia may occur
  • Understanding anatomy and physiology of those with spinal cord injuries
  • Understand the importance of prompt management
  • Develop in knowledge of medication to manage and support
  • Care management and short/long term implications
