  • Know the basic pathophysiology of SIRS and Sepsis
  • Recognise the clinical syndrome of sepsis and septic shock
  • Know how to manage the initial resuscitation of the septic patient
  • Describe the priorities and potential therapies for the first 24 hours and beyond
