This training webinar is designed for care staff, support workers, and anyone involved in delivering personal care to individuals who may require assistance with daily hygiene routines.

The session covers best practices for maintaining skin, hair, nails, and oral health, with an emphasis on preserving dignity, preventing infection, and promoting overall wellbeing. Open workshops that are delivered via Zoom usually take place over either a morning or afternoon session and last up to 2½ hours. Please note that the course times are provided as guidelines. Factors such as group size, participation levels, or prior knowledge may affect the duration and structure of the course.

If they’ve registered independently, then certainly. However it’s important to note that it is strictly one participant per registration.

Yes, if you have paid and participated in an open workshop, you will receive a certificate from Acute Training Solutions.

A tablet, laptop or personal computer is advisable, although you can also connect via a mobile phone.
Yes, it is advisable to be connected to WiFi to avoid potential data roaming / usage charges.
Download the Zoom App to your preferred device and familiarise yourself with Zoom prior to the training session.

Check that your camera, microphone and speakers are working on your preferred device, these are vital to your attendance and participation on the training. If you are using a smart device (phone / tablet), earphones with a built in microphone will improve your learning experience.

Do not share the link to join the webinar, it is unique to you. Sharing the link or a screen may affect registration and your certification of attendance.

Absolutely, interaction is encouraged using the “raised hand” function and typed questions and the trainer will regularly ask for your input.

You can get the attention of the trainer at any time, by clicking the ‘raise your hand’ button located towards the bottom left of your screen.

You will be required to ‘raise your hand’ to show understanding or answer specific questions. Once raised, you can also lower your hand if your question has been answered.

The trainer will mute and unmute your microphone enabling you to ask questions and join in with group discussions. You can also type a question to the trainer by using the Q&A function (if using a phone, hold it vertically to access the submit button).

Absolutely, if you are participating in a virtual workshop, you will receive the Zoom link the day before your open workshop date.

If you are taking part in a face-to-face workshop, the venue address, start and end times and other details will be on our website for you to record.
