Course information

This training is essential for all personnel involved in direct care, including healthcare workers, nursing staff, and support teams, as well as any other staff members responsible for the safety of residents or patients. Participants will learn how to operate various evacuation aids, such as evacuation chairs, sledge, and evacuation mats (AlbacMat), ensuring that vulnerable individuals are safely moved to secure locations during emergencies.

The course covers covers health and safety, fire regulations, responsibilities and the safe moving of people during an emergency evacuation. It includes:

  • Risk Assessment
  • Emergency Evacuation Plan

This course can be delivered to a maximum of 15 delegates and can be tailored to meet your organisation's specific needs. A full day option provides the opportunity for all delegates to participate in a practical workstation.

This course can be delivered via Zoom or MS Teams to a maximum of 20 delegates. Virtual sessions are most commonly used as refresher training sessions. Please note that there is no hands-on practical element in this training; practical elements are displayed using video examples.
